One-pot cobalt-catalyzed ring-opening of diaziridines for bismuth-promoted Fischer indole synthesis

The cobalt-catalyzed tandem process enabling Fischer indole synthesis using stable diaziridine was developed. This one-pot cascade protocol features operational simplicity and mild conditions, eliminating the need to handle hazardous hydrazine.
