Developing the State Economic Sector in Vietnam

In international integration, the state economy has played a significant role in the collective achievements of building an independent, self-reliant, and deeply integrated economy in Vietnam. This is demonstrated by maintaining independence and autonomy in determining the country's economic principles, orientations, and development strategies; ensuring stable economic development and enhancing competitive capacity, both in terms of the scale of the economy and the competitiveness of businesses and products; and maintaining major balances while emphasizing the assurance of economic security. However, the state economy in Vietnam still faces many limitations, such as inefficient operations leading to decreased productivity growth; inefficient investments resulting in numerous overlapping, small-scale, and dispersed public investment projects; and weak management by state agencies. Therefore, to contribute to the successful realization of socio-economic objectives in the coming years, appropriate solutions are needed to leverage the role of the state economy in Vietnam in the future. The article's approach is a qualitative method based on data from the General Statistics Office (GSO) of Vietnam, and reports from the Vietnamese government on the development of the state economic sector in Vietnam.Additionally, the article also employs a synthesis of specific research methods such as the historical-logical method, analysissynthesis method, induction-deduction, and comparison-contrast.The research results can be utilized to enhance the role of the state economic sector in Vietnam in the coming period.
