Exploring the Role of Collaborative Intrapreneurship Capability as a Mediator in Job Crafting and Employee Performance within Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDesa)
Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDesa) serve as a strategic foundation for local economic development and community welfare enhancement in Indonesia. This research aims to investigate the interplay between Career Calling, Proactive Personality, Job Crafting, and Employee Performance within BUMDesa. It also explores the role of Collaborative Intrapreneurship Capability (CIC) as a mediator in these relationships. The study utilized a quantitative methodology surveying 190 participants using purposive sampling. This study employs an explanatory approach, with the collected data analyzed using partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) through Smart PLS software. The results indicate that Proactive Personality and Career Calling have a positive effect on Job Crafting, which subsequently influences CIC.Additionally, CIC acts as a mediator in the relationship between Job Crafting and Employee Performance. This study is among the first to introduce a new construct (Collaborative Intrapreneurship Capability) that is more specific and follows the Village-Owned Enterprises context, and is the first study to propose Collaborative Intrapreneurship Capability as a mediator in the link between Job Crafting and Employee Performance. These findings contribute to Job Demand Theory by illustrating how individual adaptation to job demands enhances performance. The study offers practical insights for improving organizational outcomes in BUMDesa through strategic human resource development. This study also provides theoretical and managerial implications while suggesting future research on Employee Performance within BUMDesa.
