Local Government Organization Performance: What Are the Determinant Factors?

This research aims to examine the effect of good governance, organizational commitment, and internal audit on the performance of local government organizations.Meanwhile, the population was all staff in departments Government of Surabaya.Moreover, the data collection technique used purposive sampling on 83 respondent of governmental staff in City of Surabaya.The data were analysed using linier regression analysis and moderate regression analysis.Furthermore, the data were primary with questionnaires as its instrument.The research results that organizational culture, internal audit, and good governance have an effect on performance of local government organization, while organizational commitment has no effect.In addition, good governance could not moderate the effect of Organization commitment on performance of local government organization.This result can be used as the consideration of new policy to increase the performance of local government of Surabaya.
