Vision and hearing screening in infants and young children
The World Health Organization estimates that 1.5 billion and 2.2 billion people have hearing and vision impairment, respectively. It is estimated that for at least 1 billion patients vision impairment could have been prevented through universal screening. Early detection of these conditions is key to the successful management of children with ophthalmic and hearing disorders.
