ST VERSE: AR and VR Simulation Experience
Engaging students effectively, especially those unable to visit campuses, is a growing challenge for educational institutions. This paper introduces ST Verse, an Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR)-based immersive campus simulation designed for Sahrdaya College of Engineering and Technology. The system integrates high-fidelity 3D models with interactive AR and VR experiences, enabling global accessibility. The AR application allows users to interact with scaled 3D campus models in their environment, offering features like pinch-to-zoom and rotation. Meanwhile, the VR simulation provides a realistic virtual tour, incorporating dynamic terrain, lighting, and an interactive inquiry desk for real-time access to administrative information. The system is scalable and adaptable, ensuring future expansions with gamification. Extensive testing confirmed enhanced user engagement and accessibility, making ST Verse a pioneering solution for virtual campus exploration. This project sets a new standard for AR/VR-based educational outreach, offering an innovative, interactive, and accessible alternative to traditional campus tours.
