A Beam Selection Algorithm Based on Matching Game for mm Wave Beamspace MU-MIMO System

Through applying beam selection algorithm in beamspace, it makes the chance to reduce the expense of hardware costs in mmWave massive MIMO system with negligible performance loss. However, existing beam selection algorithms for Beamspace massive MIMO system achieve unsatisfactory performance. Hence, in this paper, we formulate the beam selection problem to maximize the spectral efficiency of Beamspace MIMO system in cellular downlink communication scenario. To solve it, we proposed a beam selection algorithm based on the matching game method, which regards the beams and users as two sets of players waiting to be matched one-to-one. Through limited iterations, we can obtain a solution with high performance than existing algorithm, which is proved by simulation results.
