Clipify: YouTube Video Summarizer Using LSA

Video summarization has become a critical task in managing the ever-expanding volume of digital video content, particularly with the rise of platforms like YouTube and Instagram. Recent advancements in Natural Language Processing (NLP) have significantly enhanced the effectiveness of summarization techniques. This paper presents a novel approach to video summarization that leverages textual metadata to produce summaries that are both relevant and coherent. The proposed method focuses on generating concise summaries of YouTube videos by first summarizing their transcripts, which serve as the foundation for the summarization process. To enhance user accessibility, an Android application has been developed, allowing users to input a YouTube video link and receive a summarized output directly within the app. As online video content continues to grow exponentially, efficient summarization methods are increasingly valuable, enabling users to quickly grasp key information and navigate vast amounts of content. The approach outlined in this paper not only meets this demand but also provides a user-friendly interface, making the summarization tool easily accessible. Evaluations demonstrate that the NLP-based system produces high-quality summaries, outperforming traditional methods in terms of coherence, relevance, and informativeness. This innovation offers a practical solution for users seeking to efficiently consume and manage video content in today's digital landscape.
