Advancements in Pcie-Based Communication for Shipboard Systems
With the increasing demands for communication technologies in the shipboard industry, there is a growing need for communication methods that offer low latency, high throughput, and high security. As a high-speed serial computer expansion bus standard, PCIe (Peripheral Component Interconnect Express) plays a critical role in ship communications, and significant progress has been made in its research and applications in recent years. In this paper, a semi-preemptive dynamic priority adjustment algorithm is designed to ensure the efficient utilization of bandwidth resources. Quantitative experimental data are used to verify the communication advantages of PCIe Gen3 under the background of ships, and detailed comparative analysis is carried out with other wired and wireless communication technologies in terms of throughput, delay and security. The results show that compared with the data transmission based on Ethernet, the PCIe technology greatly enhances the performance and security of data transmission, which is very suitable for the ship environment with high requirements for real-time and security.
