Coordinated Peak-shaving Optimization strategy for power sources
In wind-coal intensive systems (WCISs) which the proportion of new energy is relatively high, while thermal power remains the main conventional energy source, thermal power faces significant peak-shaving challenges. This study focuses on the direction of coordinated peak-shaving optimization of power sources, aiming to explore the development and application of multi-source coordination optimization models and deep peak-shaving models for power units. The paper aims to develop a multi-source coordinated optimization scheduling model for regional power grids to minimize operational costs, while comprehensively considering system operation reserve constraints, new energy consumption capacity, and deep peak-shaving constraints for thermal power. An example analysis of the Northeast-North China interconnected grid will verify the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed methods. The goal of this approach is to derive reasonable intra-day thermal power dispatch strategies, efficiently coordinate the generation of various power sources, and significantly improve overall system efficiency while ensuring system reserve capacity.
