Optimal Flexible Ramping Product Provisions by VPP with Aggregated Cold Chain Containers
With the development of cold chain logistics, logistics bases with large-scale battery refrigerated and pre-cooling cold containers have the potential to be aggregated into the virtual power plant (VPP) and participate in the electricity market. This paper investigates the provision of flexible ramping products by VPP in the ramping auxiliary service market. A cooperative VPP and conventional generator ramping capacity provision model considering deliverability is developed to cope with the net load variations and uncertainties. Formulating the uncertainty into a polyhedron set, the affine adjustable robust optimization framework is applied to find the optimal dispatch strategy that immunizes any predefined uncertainty. Numerical experiments show the effectiveness of the proposed model in improving the power system’s flexibility.
