Design and Development of Smart Vehicle Fire Safety System
Vehicular fires—especially in electric vehicles—pose critical safety concerns in modern automotive systems. This paper presents an automated fire protection system for smart cars that integrates infrared and flame sensors, an Arduino-based control unit, and renewable energy sources to detect and suppress fires within 2.5 seconds. Experimental results indicate a 95% suppression efficiency and improved energy management. We provide an in-depth analysis of the system design, methodology, performance metrics, implementation challenges, and future work to offer a robust solution for next-generation vehicular safety.
