Reliable Heterogeneous Multi-Node Quantum Networks for Future 6G Communication

Quantum technologies are promising key elements for the future deployment of 6G three-dimensional networks. As multiple quantum physical platforms develop in parallel, a challenge arises to support a heterogeneous structure combining discrete and continuous variables entanglement distribution protocols. This combination is essential for achieving a hybrid optical communication architecture between metropolitan and space segments. Here we present a new reliable theoretical design based on hybrid discrete and continuous systems transferring encoded coherent state through this heterogeneous multi-node entanglement distribution quantum network implementable in the future 6G communication.

Abstract

Quantum technologies are promising key elements for the future deployment of 6G three-dimensional networks. As multiple quantum physical platforms develop in parallel, a challenge arises to support a heterogeneous structure combining discrete and continuous variables entanglement distribution protocols. This combination is essential for achieving a hybrid optical communication architecture between metropolitan and space segments. Here we present a new reliable theoretical design based on hybrid discrete and continuous systems transferring encoded coherent state through this heterogeneous multi-node entanglement distribution quantum network implementable in the future 6G communication.
