Computing Power Resource Sensing and Notification Mechanism Based on Extended IGMP in Computing-Aware Network

In the context of cloud computing, edge computing and the Internet of Things (IoT), computing power has become an important driving force for the digital transformation of various industries, so the effective utilization of computing power resources has become crucial. However, the lack of cooperation between the existing computing power service nodes leads to idle and waste of resources, which affects the overall network performance. To address this issue, this paper proposes a computing power resource sensing and notification mechanism based on extended Internet Control Message Protocol, aiming to improve the utilization of computing power resources at the edge of the network. By maintaining the IP address of the computing power service node and managing the resource states in real time, the mechanism combines active notification and passive notification to reduce the out-of-sync time between the computing power resource state and the ingress node information. Finally, a simulation platform based on NS3 was used to verify the effectiveness of the CRAN-IGMP mechanism. The results show that the CRAN-IGMP can sense and notify computing power resources quickly and accurately, providing a feasible scheme to promote the deep integration of computing power and the network.
