Optimized PCA-ABE with Compression for Efficiency in Edge Computing
This paper is based on a state-of-the-art proxy ciphertext policy attribute-based encryption (PCA-ABE) with a unique compression mechanism as it aims at critical challenges involved in edge computing networks. Introducing a new offloading of a heavy decryption load by proxy servers along with compression of ciphertext while storing them may optimise a substantial storage use in the systems. This double-layer optimization attains 23.23% storage size reduction and also achieves a computational efficiency of 47.5% over traditional Attribute-Based Encryption methods. With compression, it also provides the ability to be scalable, along with strong data security and fine-grained access control, which is ideal for resourceconstrained environments like IoT networks. In addition, the smooth compression mechanism optimizes bandwidth usage for efficient data sharing in latency-sensitive and storage-intensive applications. Experimental results validate the feasibility of the framework, demonstrating its potential for real-world deployment in secure and efficient data sharing across edge computing environments.
