Cloud-Based Disaster Management: A Framework for Real-Time Emergency Response

The objective is to leverage cloud services for scalable, reliable, and secure disaster recovery, minimizing data loss and downtime while complying with regulatory requirements. Key aspects include deliberations on DR options, recommendations for suitable methodologies, and detailed steps for setting up and maintaining a cloud-based DR system. Disaster management requires timely and effective emergency response to minimize damage and loss of life. However, traditional disaster management systems often face challenges in providing real-time emergency response due to limitations in data collection, processing, and communication. This paper proposes a cloudbased framework for real-time emergency response in disaster management. The framework leverages cloud computing, IoT, and data analytics to provide a scalable, reliable, and secure platform for disaster management. The framework is evaluated through a case study of a flood disaster response in [Region/Country]. The results show that the framework can reduce emergency response times by up to 30%, improve damage assessment accuracy by up to 25%, and enhance decision-making through real-time data analytics. The proposed framework has the potential to transform disaster management by providing a robust, scalable, and secure platform for real-time emergency response.
