Dynamic Buffer Allocation Algorithm for QoS-Differentinated Services in Satellite Networks

Constrained by finite resources and dynamic link conditions in satellite networks, guaranteeing Quality of Service (QoS) for heterogeneous traffic faces significant challenges. To address the differentiated QoS guarantee problem in multi-service scenarios, this paper first establishes a performance analysis model for satellite networks based on queuing theory, analyzing the intrinsic relationships among buffer size, transmission delay, and packet loss rate. Building on this theoretical framework and incorporating both traffic arrival patterns and network state characteristics, we propose a dynamic buffer allocation algorithm for QoS-Differentinated services (DBA-QoS) in satellite networks. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed DBA-QoS algorithm effectively provides differentiated QoS guarantees in satellite networks, showing significant advantages over traditional buffer allocation methods.
