A High-Performance Long-Distance Signal Transmission Method Based on FPGA
Modern communication demand higher data transmission rate, longer distance, and greater stability, this paper presents the design and implementation of a long-distance and high-performance signal transmission system based on FieldProgrammable Gate Arrays (FPGA). This system leverages the flexibility and powerful parallel processing capabilities of FPGAs to integrate and optimize PCIe, Aurora, and SPP interfaces. The PCIe interface serves as the high-speed data entry point for the system, efficiently transporting high-speed data streams from computers or servers into the FPGA. The Aurora interface is responsible for transmitting the processed data from within the FPGA to the target destination over long distance through optical fibers or other media, offering extremely low latency and high reliability. Additionally, the SPP interface acts as an auxiliary communication interface, facilitating the transmission of system control commands and monitoring of device status, thereby enhancing the system's flexibility and manageability. This system holds significant potential for widespread adoption in fields such as remote communication, data center interconnectivity, and high-performance computing, and is poised to contribute meaningfully to technological advancements in these domains.
