HealthChain: Empowering Patient-Controlled Data Sharing Through Blockchain
Blockchain technology offers a robust solution to address key challenges in healthcare, including data privacy, security, and interoperability. The proposed framework, leveraging blockchain's immutability, transparency, and cryptographic capabilities, empowers patients to manage securely and selectively share their Electronic Medical Records (EMRs) with trusted healthcare providers. This patient-centric system enhances transparency in the pharmaceutical supply chain while upholding data ownership and fostering trust. Experimental results affirm the framework's effectiveness in establishing a secure and efficient ecosystem for healthcare data exchange, highlighting its transformative potential. This research underscores the significant role of blockchain in advancing healthcare, enabling protected and accessible patient data for informed decision-making and improved outcomes.
