Highlights of the Psyche Environmental Assurance Program
Environmental requirements for the Psyche mission were established early in the program, and a comprehensive environmental test and analysis implementation program was developed as the spacecraft design matured. Several design scope changes happened during development (for example, changed magnetometer design and vendor to an international institution), and the test program adjusted accordingly. The environmental test program included numerous assembly-level mission-qualifying tests, which fed into the system-level environmental test program with focus on spacecraft level verification. This paper describes the highlights of selected portions of the assembly and system-level test program.
