Blockchain-“Based Voting System”: Comprehensive Analysis and Future Prospects
Today it has become critical for the security and effectiveness of the election processes to be prioritized. Traditional systems of remote, centralized election voting processes have preconditions for rigging, compromising, and security breaches concerning voting outcomes. This article recommends that the decentralized voting system be implemented to enhance vote security so that no individual can manipulate or change the outcomes notwithstanding that the votes have been cast. This technique achieves voter privacy, end-to-end scrutinization, and resistance to manipulation through distributed consensus processes, homomorphic encryption, and the blockchain ledger respectively. We also discuss opposition against potential security threats such as Sybil attacks, scalability, and voters' identification. The current decentralized voting systems are reviewed and modifications to increase the security of votes against tampering are suggested considering legal and regulatory requirements. Thus, our approach forms a reliable base for transparent, safe, and honest elections.
