Campus Navigation and Augmented Reality Guided Mobile Application
The paper introduces a mobile application that provides navigation for large-scale environments and features two main services: indoor and outdoor navigation. For indoor navigation, it utilizes Unity for giving real-time directions within complex buildings; this makes it ideal for educational campuses, hospitals, or corporate campuses. Outdoor navigation is executed through an interactive Mapbox plugin that guides the user from their location to any destination within campus flawlessly. The application also allows users to explore various categories such as food courts or buildings, with data management and user authentication handled securely by Firebase. The system has been developed primarily to serve educational campuses, but it is versatile enough to be implemented in other large facilities that require indoor and outdoor navigation.
