Smart Trolley with Automated Billing System

The smart trolley with an automated billing system revolutionizes the traditional shopping experience by using the Internet of Things (IoT) to address common challenges like long queues, mistakes in manual billing, and poor inventory management. The system integrates a compact barcode scanner and billing module inside the trolley, which enables the shoppers to scan products, compute bills, and remove items as needed. Payments can be made via cash or online transactions. Additionally, users can access their shopping history and provide feedback through their accounts, ensuring a seamless and user-friendly experience while reducing human errors and billing delays. This system also enables the business owners to get updates regarding their inventory, and recent purchases. All information is transmitted to a computer for billing updates via a wireless Zigbee network. This automated system maintains detailed records of all invoices. It employs an ESP32 module to integrate a barcode scanner with the smart trolley, enabling real-time communication between the trolley and the billing system. A high-performance barcode scanner, embedded within the trolley, reads product barcodes as items are added. The ESP32 module ensures seamless real-time data transfer between the trolley and the central billing system, delivering an efficient and user-friendly shopping experience.
