Human-AI Interaction Implementation in Consolidate Digital Environments Through a Collaborative and Multidisciplinary Design Approach

This paper investigates a collaborative, multidisciplinary design process aimed at integrating artificial intelligence (AI) systems within digital environments in manufacturing, in order to develop transparent and accessible interfaces for human-machine interaction. Based on the increasing complexity of relationships between human and non-human agents, the research focuses on generating collaborative scenarios inspired by Industry 5.0 principles, which bring sustainability, context and the human element at the center. The project involves the use of design-driven, service design, co-design and interaction design approaches, engaging industrial and academic stakeholders. Activities are characterized by steps of contextual analysis, user research, digital replication of interfaces, participatory workshops and development of design concepts related to the use of AI for training, predictive maintenance, and production optimization. The results highlight the relevance of collaborative approaches to ensure transparency, explicability and accessibility in interactions with intelligent systems, while pointing out the necessity to reinforce the iterative character of the process and extend its validation through further perspectives.
