Change Point Detection For FOGs Scale Factor Test Data Using Pruned Exact Linear Time (PELT) Algorithm

With the increasing demand for batch testing of Fiber Optic Gyroscopes (FOGs) scale factor, accurate and low-complexity change point detection methods are essential for identifying state transient transitions and extracting rotation rate information. In this paper, we propose a method for detecting change points in the scale factor test data of FOGs based on the PELT algorithm. Simulations and experiments have demonstrated its superiority in processing scale factor data. Compared with other change point detection methods, this approach exhibits the lowest time complexity while ensuring accurate detection, showing its effectiveness in large-scale testing. Besides, the proposed method can be extended to process data from other gyroscopes with similar characteristics.
