Research on CV/CC Charging Modes Along with Power Distribution in a Dual-Load MCR-WPT System Based on Phase-Shift Control Strategy
With the rapid development of the economy, automated guided vehicles (AGVs) have increasingly become a vital component of industrial production. The charging method for AGVs is a crucial step towards intelligent automation, and wireless power transfer (WPT) technology offers an effective means to replenish the power. Considering the practical application scenarios, a single-transmitter and multiple-receiver system seems more cost-effective compared to the common single-transmitter and single-receiver WPT systems. However, the cross-coupling between the receiving coils in such a system significantly impacts power transfer characteristics, which cannot be overlooked and requires higher technical demands, as the charging requirements of different loads (including constant current or voltage charging, and power distribution between different loads) may be different. To address this issue, this paper proposes a phase-shift control method to achieve expected power transfer characteristics and high-efficiency power transfer in a single-transmitter and dual-receiver WPT system. The proposed method only requires controlling the phase-shift angle of the DC-AC inverter to control the charging modes of different loads. The experimental results verified the effectiveness and accuracy of the proposed method. A maximum DC-to-DC efficiency of 93.59% can be achieved while maintaining constant current or voltage output under the expected power distribution and misalignment.
