GESTÃO COMERCIAL DA CADEIA PRODUTIVA DO CACAU CASSIPORÉ NO MUNICÍPIO DE OIAPOQUE

This study aims to analyze the commercial management of the Cassiporé cocoa production chain in the municipality of Oiapoque, Amapá, highlighting its potential, challenges, and the strategies adopted by local actors. The research is characterized by a qualitative approach, using mixed instruments, including semi-structured interviews and descriptive questionnaires applied to two key participants: the owner of the Chocolates Cassiporé brand and the president of the producers’ association in Vila Velha. Data were analyzed through thematic categories and revealed bottlenecks such as lack of transport infrastructure, informal commercialization, limited market access, and the absence of specific public policies. On the other hand, successful value-adding actions were identified, such as local processing of cocoa beans, use of digital marketing strategies, community association efforts, and the pursuit of certifications. It is concluded that, despite the limitations, the Cassiporé cocoa chain has the potential to become a sustainable alternative for regional development, provided there are investments in infrastructure, institutional support, and strengthening of producer organization.
