PROBLEMS AND FEATURES OF THE IMPLEMENTATION OF IMPORT SUBSTITUTION POLICY IN RUSSIAN INDUSTRY

The article examines the problems and features of implementing import substitution policy in the domestic industry as an important condition for achieving technological sovereignty of Russia. The main strategies for implementing import substitution policy are presented, their characteristics are given, and the goals set for the measures to support the domestic industry are formulated. An analysis of the main indicators of industrial production for the period 2019-2024 was carried out, which showed that industrial production is adapting to internal and external economic and political challenges, while difficulties associated with increasing, modernizing and updating production capacities remain, which makes it difficult to use the market opportunities opening up for enterprises. Particular attention is paid to the indicators of innovative development of the manufacturing industry. In conclusion, a number of measures are proposed to ensure the effective implementation of import substitution policy in the manufacturing industry.
