MODEL-BASED CONTROL ALGORITHMS FOR WAVEFRONT ABERRATION COEFFICIENTS MEASURING
Presented is a comparative analysis of two kinds of model-based control algorithm for adaptive optics system: the fast algorithm and sequential correction, applied to the measurement of aberration mode coefficients of a wavefront with phase distortions due to Kolmogorov turbulence. The fast algorithm requires the least number of iterations and has the better precision. With a real corrector, however, sequential correction has been shown to be more precise than the fast algorithm on rare occasions. Lukosz modes were used as control modes, and for the corrector model we chose a stacked-actuator deformable mirror with an optimized actuator placement scheme.
