Linguo-axiological Aspect of the Representation of Biblical Term “Dieu” at the French Language Media Discourse of the Democratic Republic of the Congo

This article is devoted to the linguistic and axiological analysis of biblical term “Dieu” in order to identify value groups that are updated through the lexis “Dieu” token in the media discourse of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). The semantic value of the dictionary unit “Dieu” is determined sing the definition analysis. Contextual analysis has served as a method for determining the values of the “Dieu” token in a context selected from the text and combined by a language unit that implements and activates its values in the context. The study identified explicit and implicit means of expressing the basic religious values of the Congolese society, associated with faith, hope, love, and gave a more detailed analysis of the landmarks of these value attitudes in the DRC.
