Gabriel d'Annunzio in Russia (from the History of Reception and Influence)
The presented work is devoted to the consideration of the peculiarities of the reception of one of the famous Italian writers Gabriele D'Annunzio (1863-1938) by the Russian authors of the late 19th and early 20th centuries who belonged to modernist movements. The iiterary influence of d'Annunzio is revealed in the course of a comparative analysis of d'Annunzio's «Innocent» and «Kotik Letaev» by Andrei Bely (1880-1934), produced on the figurative and motivic levels of the texts. The comparison is based on the central image of a «baby» for both novels, the works are analyzed using the psychoanalytic method, during which typological similarities are revealed between the images of a «baby» in the novels under consideration in the light of Sigmund Freud's theory of psychoanalysis (the doctrine of the concept of the unconscious). Along with the similarities, the differences between the two images are also revealed. The paradigms of images associated with the image of a «baby» are analyzed. The paradigms of images are considered on the basis of N. V. Pavlovich's theory (which distinguished the object and the subject of comparison); the invariant of the studied paradigm of images is highlighted.
