THE COLLECTION OF DMITRY IVANOVICH TATARINOV AT THE NATIONAL MUSEUM OF THE REPUBLIC OF BASHKORTOSTAN
The National Museum of the Republic of Bashkortostan houses the personal fund of a member of the Ufa Provincial Museum Committee, doctor D. I. Tatarinov. The collection has over 120 items of storage. Among the materials: documents, letters, certificates of honor, diplomas, awards and photographs. The author's attention was drawn to a collection of photographs from the turn of the XIX – ХХ centuries, characterizing settlements and dwellings, nomadic lifestyle, traditional occupations, Bashkir clothing and economic activities of the Russian mining population. There are more than eighty pictures of Bashkir nomads, children, ritual scenes, as well as factories, quarries, mines, nature, and portraits of relatives and colleagues. Some of the photos are colored and tinted with salts. The relevance and significance of the research is related to the search for new sources characterizing the history and culture of the Southern Urals. As a result of the research, it was found that many of the photographs could have been taken by Dmitry Ivanovich's father, Ivan Asafevich Tatarinov. In this regard, an external source was involved: D. I. Tatarinov's memoirs about his father, his passion for photography was described, his professional pursuits were studied, as well as the special way of life of the family, the environment, the attitude to nature, everyday life and lifestyle of the factory population.
