The article examines the relationship between the traditional way of life of the Nagaibaks of the Chelyabinsk region and the art of making horse equipment nowadays. It is shown that horse breeding plays an important role in the structure of modern Nagaibak farming, this is facilitated by local natural and geographical conditions. The Nagaibaksky district is located in the southern steppe zone of the Chelyabinsk region. Materials from the expeditions of the Chelyabinsk State Folk Art Center, the Nagaibaksky Municipal District House of Folk Art and the Chelyabinsk State Historical Museum of the Southern Urals in 2016 and 2023 to the Nagaibaksky district allow us to describe traditional technological processes for making horse harnesses. It is concluded that the transmission of traditional technological techniques for making horse harnesses from the Nagaibaks is passed down from generation to generation and does not lose its relevance in the present days.
