Restoration of machine parts made of structural carbon steel 20 by induction facing

In modern mechanical engineering, the task of comprehensively improving the performance properties of worn plates is particularly significant. As a result of studying the surface relief of the plates, it is possible to maximize the service life of worn plates by a certain processing method. The study of the surface relief of the mold plates is carried out in order to identify the places most susceptible to wear and maximum linear wear to determine the economically feasible thickness of the hardened layer, as well as to identify the necessary structural improvements of the press tools. The nature of wear is determined on the plates of the upper belt of the CM-816 molds, an external inspection of the spent plates and measurement of linear wear is performed. Visual inspection shows that, in addition to abrasive wear, fatigue staining of the surface layer occurs during operation. Linear wear is determined using an hour-type indicator with a division price of 0.01 mm with a grid size of 40x40 mm from the edge. The measurement is performed relative to the unworn section of the plate. The purpose of the work is to restore worn plates by induction surfacing on HDPE.
