The article deals with the specific features of organisational and legal support for publicprivate partnerships in Ukraine. In particular, it is noted that today, in the challenging conditions of the martial law regime, the most urgent tasks of the state and municipal authorities are to overcome the consequences of russian armed aggression, to restore the destroyed residential, industrial and other infrastructure, as well as to skilfully organise the work of the public sector of the economy. It is emphasised that effective partnerships between local authorities and businesses should be an essential key to solving these problems, as international experience and domestic realities show that partnerships are most common at the municipal level. In this context, the author identifies the features of municipal-private partnership as a component of public-private partnership and a legal form of local economic organisation as well as focuses on the problem of the lack of proper legal regulation of the interaction between municipal authorities and businesses in Ukraine. At the same time, the author points out the progressive nature of the newly adopted Law of Ukraine ‘On Concession’ in terms of harmonisation of concession legislation with the legislation on public-private partnership. In addition, specific examples of implementation of public-private partnership projects at the local level in pre-war and wartime are provided. It is concluded that for territorial communities located in regions that have not been significantly affected by hostilities (western and central areas of the State), the priority should be to take measures to ensure sustainable development of the municipal sector of the economy in these communities. It will directly depend on the practical implementation of municipal-private partnership projects in them. It is stated that productive interaction between local authorities and private entities will facilitate support for relocated (displaced) businesses in these communities, ensure the rights of internally displaced persons, and adequately organise material and technical assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Keywords: municipal authorities, public-private partnership, legal regulation, martial law, municipal economy sector, concession, relocated business.
