The article examines the issue of providing social services, the provision of which is a necessary condition for the effectiveness of the mechanism for the realisation of the right to work by a person with a disability. The legislation in the field of social protection of persons with disabilities is analysed. It is concluded that the list of social services is formed based on the results of a comprehensive assessment of the limitations of an individual's life activities in all spheres of life, an evaluation of the individual's functioning in the field of healthcare, and an assessment of the need for social services. It is argued that a person with a disability is entitled to all social services provided for by social legislation. At the same time, the following social services are directly related to the sphere of employment: personal assistant, support during employment and in the workplace, social and occupational adaptation, and sign language interpretation. The legislation in the field of standardization of the relevant social services is critically analyzed. Attention is drawn to the need for the adoption of state standards for the social services of a personal assistant as well as social and occupational adaptation for persons with disabilities. The necessity of updating the content of the state standards for the social service of support during employment and in the workplace, as well as the service of sign language interpretation, is substantiated. The service of workplace consultation for the employer and colleagues of a person with a disability requires appropriate synchronization with the content of the aforementioned state standards. Keywords: social protection, employer, state standard, workplace, assessment of needs/limitations of life activities.
