OUR DEANS — THE PARTICIPANTS OF THE GREAT PATRIOTIC WAR

In our article we talk about the life path, about the participation in the Great Patriotic War, about the work of our three deans: Alexey Georgievich Sokolov, Leonid Grigorievich Andreev and Ivan Fyodorovich Volkov, who defended their homeland, studied at the Philological Faculty of Moscow State University after the war, became great scholars and for 30 years (from 1961 to 1991) headed the faculty, defining its main academic directions, creating a young post-war team and organis ing its work, as well as creating such curricula and programmes that the graduates of the faculty were later in demand by all universities and academic institutions of the country.
