AUDIOLOGICAL SCREENING IN MATERNITY HOSPITALS IN KYRGYZSTAN

Audiological screening of newborns is a procedure that allows you to identify possible hearing defects as quickly as possible. For this purpose, in particular, audiometry is used. It can be performed as early as the second or third day of life. The examination can be carried out at the hospital. However, specialists working in such an institution do not always have sufficient qualifications to perform audiometry of hearing in a newborn at the necessary professional level. This article is devoted to the issues of early detection of hearing disorders in young children in order to improve the quality of specialized medical care (hearing replacement, cochlear implantation), which, ultimately, will reduce state budget expenditures by improving the effectiveness of training, including professional training, for citizens who have successfully completed a course of rehabilitation for hearing loss.
