PERFIL DE EFICÁCIA DA FOTOTERAPIA A LASER NO TRATAMENTO DE FERIDAS NA MUCOSA ORAL: UMA REVISÃO DE LITERATURA
The healing of the oral mucosa is an essential process for the recovery of patients submitted to dental interventions or affected by traumatic and inflammatory lesions. Low-intensity laser phototherapy (LLLT) has emerged as a promising therapeutic alternative, standing out for its anti-inflammatory, analgesic and regenerative effects. The present study aimed to evaluate, through an integrative review of the literature, the effectiveness of LLLT in promoting wound healing of the oral mucosa. For this, the databases PubMed, SciELO, LILACS, Cochrane Library and ScienceDirect were consulted, with a selection of studies published in Portuguese and English. The inclusion criteria included articles that investigated the use of LLLT in lesions such as oral ulcers, stomatitis, surgical and vasculogenic wounds. The results indicate that LLLT contributes significantly to the acceleration of tissue repair, pain reduction and general clinical improvement of patients. However, there is a need for standardization of the technical parameters used, as well as new clinical studies with greater methodological rigor. It is concluded that LLLT represents an effective and safe approach in the treatment of oral lesions, with the potential to be incorporated more widely in dental practice.
