A Transformer‐Less High‐Gain Cubic Converter With Reduced Components for Grid‐Tied PV Systems

ABSTRACT The essence of the high‐gain dc‐dc converters has grown in recent years as a key way to support the use of green energy sources (GESs) like wind and solar. This work employs a nonisolated quadratic boost‐based cubic (NIQBC) converter with a wide voltage gain over the extended bounds of duty cycle for the sustainable interconnection of solar photovoltaic (PV) source with the utility. With fewer devices and less voltage stress on the semiconducting components, the suggested topology unveils the structural arrangement of switched inductor–switched capacitor (SL‐SC) architectures. Additionally, this paper documents the efficiency calculations, steady‐state and dynamic analysis with nonidealities, and thorough comparative study with the alternative structures. Through MATLAB simulations and hardware proof of 100 W, the conformance of the topological circuit is intensely deliberated, and the findings are documented with an efficiency of 91.4% at optimal duty ratio.
