Strategies of fashion representation in museums

The presented research is conditioned by the lack of attention to modern strategies of fashion representation in Russian museums. While foreign institutions actively introduce innovative approaches to exhibitions, Russian museums often remain in the shadow of these trends. This limits the possibilities of interaction with visitors and the perception of fashion as an essential element of the cultural context. With fashion becoming increasingly significant in public life, it is important to explore how museum practices can be adapted to engage audiences more deeply. For this purpose, we analyzed the influence of foreign educational and exhibition strategies on the interaction with fashion in museums and considered examples of the implementation of these strategies in museum practice. We analyzed how these practices influence the perception of fashion in the context of culture and developed recommendations for museums in Russia. Various methodological approaches were used in the work, among them description and comparison, which includes museological analysis of fashion exhibitions. The basis of this study was the influence of foreign approaches on the perception of fashion in museums and their significance in creating a unique experience for visitors.
