Classical European Organ in China: typology of the listening audience

The organ culture of China is currently actively developing. Interest in this phenomenon has led to the emergence of a wide range of specialized Russian and Chinese scientific literature, devoted in particular to the study of the audience of the classical European organ in China. The task of identifying its typology has become urgent. The successful integration of the organ into the multi-level cultural space of the Celestial Empire testifies to its compliance with the true spiritual needs of its society at the present stage. Improving the listening audience is associated with strengthening the role of the state, public organizations, and widely competent creative individuals. He rise of organ culture in modern China is due to the philosophical and aesthetic "complementarity" of organ music to the character of the Chinese mentality and cultural traditions, which is manifested in a certain "orientalization" of organ sound thanks to the arrangements of famous Chinese musical works of different historical periods and genres, in the adequate inclusion of such performance in mass celebrations, local events, modern musical events of a syncretic nature in the Celestial Empire. Strengthening ties with Russia are seen as an effective factor in the development of the organ culture of the Celestial Empire, especially such an important part of it as the listening audience.
