The coating reconstruction was carried out as part of a series of projects aimed at increasing the productivity of the cardboard machine. The old coat drying system, which involved infrared heaters and air blowers designed for lower machine speeds, was replaced with a next-generation air-blowing system. By upgrading the coating drying system, higher machine speeds were achieved, leading to increased production capacity. Additionally, the new system enables better quality control of the cardboard, higher energy efficiency, and reduced fire risk on the cardboard machine The paper presents the results of energy savings after reconstruction.
