The effectiveness of carboxytherapy in diabetic polyneuropathy in workers of harmful production
Exposure to harmful working conditions (heavy physical exertion, vibration, psychoemotional stress) it can potentiate the development of metabolic syndrome, which can lead to the development of diabetes mellitus. Almost all harmful industrial factors have a tropism to organs and tissues, triggering the mechanisms of development and progression of common diseases that aggravate the course of occupational diseases. The aim of the study was to determine the effectiveness of carboxytherapy in the complex treatment of diabetic polyneuropathy in patients with workers whose work is associated with exposure to harmful industrial factors. The result of the therapy was assessed by the state of the peripheral nerves of the lower extremities using stimulation electroneuromyography. One of the significant criteria for the effectiveness of carboxytherapy, which we achieved in the study, should be considered a reduction in the intensity of pain syndrome, as well as an improvement in the conduction of nerve impulses.
