Structural and functional model is the component of functional reliability of workers in hazardous industries
Reducing anthropogenic risks at enterprises of the nuclear weapons complex and ensuring the safety of their specialists is carried out through a system of measures, which include medical professional selection, periodic medical examinations, selection and admission of personnel to perform particularly important and dangerous work. The implementation of medical selection using lists of medical contraindications is focused on the possibility of issuing reasonable permits for certain types of activities to persons who do not have diagnoses of certain diseases. The presence of an employee with a disease included in the list of medical contraindications, identified during preliminary and periodic medical examinations and psychophysiological examinations, is evidence of late diagnosis and lack of data on pre-nosological disorders requiring preventive rehabilitation and health measures. Therefore, it is necessary to include monitoring of occupational health using prenosological criteria in the system of measures for medical care of workers in hazardous industries. However, the use of prenosological criteria is a necessary but insufficient condition for reducing anthropogenic risk. Additional monitoring criteria should include comprehensive criteria, one of which is the functional reliability of the employee. The article discusses the issues of functional reliability assessment and management as a way to protect hazardous industries and their specialists. The definition of this concept, a conceptual model of the structural components of functional reliability and a system of criteria for their evaluation are given.
