IGARAPÉ DO NOVO REINO: UMA ANÁLISE DA RELAÇÃO ENTRE O MEIO AMBIENTE E A VIDA URBANA

This article aims to discuss the Novo Reino stream, analyzing the relationship between the environment and urban life. A survey of the stream area will be conducted through a technical visit and photographic recording, and a sensory park will be constructed using recycled materials. These materials will be collected and brought to the school. The children will observe the environmental and social impacts surrounding the stream; these impacts are associated with large tons of waste, noncompliance with national guidelines for conservation areas, and the disorderly occupation of areas near the stream. How can we solve these environmental impacts? This solution can be achieved by applying the “3 Rs” of sustainability (Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle).
