Economic alternatives of agro-industrial complex organizations in the context of growth of the regulator’s key rate and negative effect of financial leverage
The objective of the work is to clarify economic alternatives of agricultural organizations in the context of the growth of the regulator’s key rate and the negative effect of financial leverage. The method of selective observation was used, as a result of which 110 organizations included in the structures of leading Russian agro-holdings, as well as agricultural organizations, including small forms of agribusiness, the CIS countries among others, were studied. It has been revealed that the profitability of assets of agro-industrial complex organizations in the CIS countries is within 10%. In a number of these countries, the regulator’s key rate may exceed this value, which causes the negative effect of financial leverage for agricultural organizations. In the event of a negative effect of one of the levers, there is a need to compare them, which should be carried out in monetary terms. With negative financial leverage for the subjects under study, the use of loans is advisable even without state support, but provided that the positive effect of the operating leverage exceeds the negative effect of the financial leverage. The higher the value of the regulator’s key rate, the greater the effect of the operating leverage remains the only economic reason for using bank loans. Using the example of agricultural organizations, it is shown that an increase in the regulator’s key rate not only does not reduce the inflation rate, but, on the contrary, increases it, which makes state subsidization of the rate on bank loans for the organizations under study justified.
