ANALISIS EFEKTIVITAS BIAYA PADA PASIEN SEPSIS YANG DIBERIKAN TERAPI ANTIBIOTIK SEFTRIAKSON ATAU MEROPENEM DI INTENSIVE CARE UNIT RSUD BERKAH PANDEGLANG PERIODE 2022-2023

Sepsis is a systemic infection commonly occurring in hospitals, which can lead to serious complications and even death if not treated promptly and effectively. Antibiotic therapy plays a crucial role in the success of sepsis treatment. However, inappropriate use of antibiotics can hinder treatment outcomes and directly impact hospitalization costs. This study aims to compare the cost-effectiveness of ceftriaxone and meropenem antibiotic treatments in sepsis patients at Berkah Pandeglang Hospital. The research utilized a retrospective data collection method, using secondary data from 2022-2023. Data were obtained from the medical records of sepsis patients hospitalized in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The sample consisted of 20 patients, with 11 receiving ceftriaxone and 9 receiving meropenem. The Average Cost-Effectiveness Ratio (ACER) for the ceftriaxone group was Rp. 124,470, while for the meropenem group it was Rp. 119,058. These results indicate that meropenem is more cost-effective than ceftriaxone in this study.
