Evolutionary roads for social work: between the community approach, social innovation and policy practice

This contribution aims to highlight the relationship between the policy practice of social work and two key theoretical topics in social work research: the community approach and social innovation within the context of welfare policies. The theoretical framework of policy practice in social work research, informed by policy analysis and the study of policy changes in local welfare systems, emphasizes the need to move beyond the performance-based logic of traditional social work and to invest in continuous and transformative learning, providing evidence of outcomes and lessons learned from policy and social changes.
