A METODOLOGIA DE APRENDIZAGEM COOPERATIVA E SOLIDÁRIA NA PROMOÇÃO DA EDUCAÇÃO INTEGRAL
This study aimed to investigate whether Cooperative and Solidary Learning, a methodology developed at the Alan Pinho Tabosa State School of Professional Education, located in Pentecoste, Ceará, promotes education from an integral perspective. The initial hypothesis was that, since the school prioritizes human development based on cooperation and solidarity, the institution would be fostering the full development of those involved in the educational process. To confirm this hypothesis and understand how this methodology takes place in practice, a case study was conducted involving the observation of the school’s pedagogical organization, an analysis of its Political-Pedagogical Project, and interviews with the School Principal and the Pedagogical Coordinator. The collected data were analyzed considering the principles of Integral Education. The results indicated that Cooperative and Solidary Learning makes a significant contribution to the integral development of students. The strategies associated with the principles of Emotional Education, Self-determination, Student Leadership, Cooperation, and Solidarity, which underpin Cooperative and Solidary Learning and aim to develop also cognitive aspects, emotional, social, and aesthetic dimensions, all essential to full human formation. This study is relevant as it presents an approach that can inspire other institutions, especially following the launch of the Full-Time School Program by the Brazil’s Ministry of Education in 2023, which aims to promote education from an integral perspective across schools in the country.
